Great sounding Rolls Royce Trent 1000 start up
Heavy vibration from the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 on start up which is normal.
its due to the fuel cavitation on start up causing this great sound to be heard and felt by those close to it. shame the camera will never do it justice but we will try to match it here.

      1 then the other. The apu isn’t powerful enough to dual start. Unlike the 747 and A380. The 787 uses electricity so thats why it can dual start both engines

      I applied a few years ago and they give you all the training you will ever need to do this role. Other airports have different names and different ways of running these roles. And then different countries have completely different names for these roles. So for the United Kingdom in the simple way to explain Ramp agent - is a baggage handler/ loader/ ground crew Flight dispatcher/TCO is the person in charge of the turnaround of the aircraft and deals with the loading and weight and balance of the aircraft.

    Q. for all the aw169 pilots out there... (firstly, gotta say... geez he locked the rotors on shutdown hard !!...) now the question, why were the rotors not turning when he had well and truly spooled up the left engine? They weren't turning until the second engine was lit !! Never seen that before with ANY twin engine heli. That's got to be bad surely...? Every single startup I've ever seen, single or twin, the rotors are turning the second that first/only engine is going. Can someone explain...? Cheers.

    • @ramperryan
      @ramperryan 10 дней назад

      So for the first question Thats normal for the AW169 as they use the rotor bake to bring the rotors to stop when attending incident or having to leave the aircraft quickly, or when its unsafe to leave them to naturally spool down. Second question The AW169 is liked a lot by the air ambulance organisation because it has a APU function where the left engine can be disconnected from the gear box to act as a power source for the helicopter and its medical equipment. Without the need or danger of having the blades moving. They always start the left engine and bring it to ground idle. then they start the right engine which is permanently connected to the drive gear box. So once they are at ground idle. The helicopter will connect left engine too the gear box through the clutch and then the pilot can raise the helicopter to flight idle. Being very powerful as a Helicopter of its size its very good at its job. Hence why in the uk a lot of operators choose the AW169

    Do you all get your own headset or is a communal one that lives in the tug?

    • @ramperryan
      @ramperryan 10 дней назад

      The company has many which stay in a box that contains the nose wheel steering pins for many aircraft so we can disconnect the nose wheel steering. These boxes get taken out when we go to flights or when taking a tug to a flight
